We are looking for a motivated Team Leader to provide leadership to staff and coordination of programs and operations as we move towards a new modern and integrated leisure centre.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated Team Leader to join the Kununurra Leisure Centre (KLC) team to provide leadership, coordination of quality aquatic and recreation services and programs, and to manage the operations and maintenance of the KLC pool plant rooms, building and equipment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordination of the duty roster for KLC staff, and training and development to ensure the team has the skills and qualifications to carry out required duties
- Developing and coordinating aquatic and dry centre programs including Swim School
- Collaborating with management to develop strategic initiatives (e.g. events, open days, or seasonal programs), marketing campaigns, and partnerships to maximise community participation and revenue opportunities within the KLC
- Coordinating the implementation of maintenance projects at the KLC and its facilities
- Ensuring all financial records, bookings and receipting of monies is kept in an accurate and efficient manner
- Monitoring water quality testing results to ensure pool water meets the WA Health Standards
- Performing reception, lifeguard and other duties as required
Essential qualifications include a Western Australian Swimming Pool Managers certificate or equivalent Australian certificate, breathing apparatus and pool lifeguard qualifications, current WA Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain), and current Senior First Aid qualification.
You will also need experience as a Team Leader or Duty Manager in an Aquatic and Recreation Centre, operational experience with swimming pool plant rooms and chlorine gas systems (preferable), high-level knowledge and experience of aquatic and recreation facility operations, and the ability to lead and supervise a team.
