OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Swim Coach to support our students in their preparation for the upcoming ACC A Division Swimming Carnival. This role involves leading structured morning training sessions, fostering student development, and contributing to team selection for the event.
ACC A Division Swimming Carnival date: 25 March 2026.
KEY DUTIES
- Provide a child-safe learning environment for all students
- Plan and deliver an engaging and progressive swimming training program
- Facilitate individual and team goal setting to support student growth and performance
- Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance technique, confidence, and race readiness
- Assist in the selection process for the Mercedes College ACC Swimming Team
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating training environment
- Ensure student safety and uphold Mercedes College values at all times
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Strong knowledge of competitive swimming techniques and training methods
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Accreditation in Swim Coaching (preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience coaching school-aged athletes or competitive squads
- Coaching rate is negotiated depending on level of experience

The successful candidate will also require:
- A current Working with Children Check Card (WWC)
- A National Police Clearance no older than 90 days
- Bronze Medallion
