Do you thrive in an active environment, love working with people, and take pride in keeping others safe? We’re looking for energetic, vigilant, and community-minded Lifeguards to join our Aquatic Services team at the Wickham Recreation Precinct.
As a Lifeguard, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our pools are safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all patrons. You’ll supervise aquatic areas, educate the community on water safety, respond to emergencies, and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Centre. You’ll work under the guidance of the Aquatic Duty Manager and Supervisor and be part of a committed, professional, and friendly team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
· Actively supervise patrons to maintain a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment
· Educate patrons on water safety and appropriate behaviour
· Perform rescues, first aid, and CPR when required
· Assist with the efficient operation of pools and surrounding areas
· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation
· Follow all Work Health & Safety policies and procedures
· Report incidents, hazards, and near misses promptly
What You'll Need:
· Demonstrated experience as a lifeguard
· Current First Aid and CPR certificates
· Current RLSS Pool Lifeguard certificate or equivalent
· National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
· Working with Children Check
