About the Role
- Reporting to the Aquatic Supervisor, you will:
- Oversee day-to-day aquatic operations (and lead the team in the Supervisor’s absence)
- Supervise pool attendants and activity staff
- Maintain pool plant operations and water quality to WA Health standards
- Conduct water testing and plant adjustments
- Ensure compliance with Council By-Laws and safety procedures
- Provide high-level customer service to patrons and user groups
- Respond to incidents and administer First Aid as required
- Support staff training, risk management and workplace health & safety
About You
- You are an experienced aquatic professional who brings:
- Strong knowledge of pool plant operations and water treatment systems
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements and public pool regulations
- Proven supervisory experience in an aquatic environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confidence in first aid, rescue techniques and emergency response
- The ability to lead by example and support team wellbeing
Essential Requirements
- Current Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Provide First Aid Certificate
- LIWA Accreditation (Health Act – Swimming Pools Regulations 1964)
- Demonstrated experience as an Assistant Aquatic Supervisor or Pool Attendant
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- National Police Certificate (issued within 6 months)
- Competency with Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus
