The Shire of Coolgardie is seeking enthusiastic Aquatic Swim Teachers for potential casual seasonal opportunities at our Coolgardie and Kambalda pools, commencing in October 2026.
This rewarding role is perfect for passionate instructors who enjoy helping people develop swimming skills, build confidence in the water and learn essential water safety practices.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging swimming and water safety lessons.
- Teach participants of varying ages and skill levels.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
- Support participant confidence and skill development.
- Provide excellent customer service to participants and families.
- Assist with lesson equipment and aquatic program activities.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking energetic, encouraging and safety-focused teachers who can communicate effectively and create a positive learning experience for all participants.
Essential Requirements
- Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent)
- Current Bronze Medallion or Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings and weekends

- AUSTSWIM Access & Inclusion accreditation
- Teacher of Competitive Strokes & Coaching qualification
