Kirby Swim is looking for an experienced and people-focused Area Lead to support and guide Swim School Managers across our Western Australian swim schools.

About the Role

As an Area Lead, you will support and empower Swim School Managers and their teams to deliver high-quality swim programs and exceptional family experiences.

Working closely with the Head of Operations, you will provide coaching, operational guidance, and leadership support across multiple swim schools. Your leadership will strengthen operational performance, develop future leaders, and ensure programs are delivered safely and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

Support and mentor Swim School Managers to lead confident, high-performing teams
Foster a safe, inclusive, and values-driven culture across swim schools
Develop leadership capability through coaching, feedback, and mentoring
Support managers to achieve strong outcomes in booking growth, retention, and team engagement

Operational Performance

Provide oversight of swim school operations and program delivery
Identify opportunities to improve lesson delivery, scheduling, and operational efficiency
Monitor operational and family data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Support the implementation of operational plans and revenue growth initiatives

Team Development

Coach leaders in performance management and team development
Support recruitment, onboarding, and leadership development across swim schools
Help identify and develop future leaders within the organisation

Safety & Compliance

Champion a strong culture of safety, safeguarding, and professionalism
Ensure compliance with WHS, safeguarding policies, and operational standards

Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong relationships with managers, teams, families, and operational partners
Support Swim School Managers in resolving family concerns and maintaining exceptional service

About You

You are a collaborative and capable leader who enjoys developing people and helping teams succeed.

You bring:

Proven leadership experience supporting multiple teams or locations
Strong coaching and mentoring capability
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience improving operational performance and service delivery

Experience in aquatics, sport, recreation, education, or service industries will be highly regarded.
