About
I am a motivated and responsible Year 12 student who has very recently completed my lifeguard training, gaining all required qualifications including First Aid, CPR, and relevant aquatic rescue certifications. I am eager to begin my first job in a role that strongly aligns with my passion for pools, water safety, and patron wellbeing.
I have previously been a member of the local squad swimming program at Victoria Park Aqualife and completed all my swimming levels there too, which has allowed me to become very familiar with the facility, its environment, and the expectations around behaviour, safety, and discipline. Growing up around pools has given me a strong respect for aquatic safety and a clear understanding of how important vigilance and professionalism are in a lifeguarding role.
I also bring strong teamwork and communication skills. Being part of squad swimming taught me how to work effectively within a team, support others, and take direction from coaches and supervisors. I understand the importance of clear communication, following procedures precisely, and working collaboratively with other lifeguards to ensure a safe environment for all patrons. I have a keen eye for detail and take great pride in my work.
In addition, I am highly proactive and attentive. I take pride in maintaining focus for extended periods, continuously scanning my environment, and identifying potential hazards before they become serious risks. I am reliable, punctual, and committed to upholding the standards and policies of the facility at all times.
Although this would be my first paid position, I am extremely motivated to learn, take feedback on board, and contribute positively to your team. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to apply my training in a real-world environment and to build my skills while helping ensure a safe and welcoming pool experience for the community.
I do not currently have a National Police Clearance or WWCC but I am happy to apply for this as advised.
Thank you for considering my application. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss how my skills, training, and enthusiasm could benefit your lifeguard team. As a Victoria Park local and a local pool patron, I know pools and would love the opportunity to be part of the Lifesaving Community. I am available for an interview at your convenience and look forward to hearing from you.
