About Swimming Women
Swimming Women was established in 2013. We're a place where women feel safe, free from judgement, where they can learn, improve, and build real confidence in themselves. It has always been about something bigger than laps: helping women find joy in swimming, building friendships, and surprising themselves with what they're capable of. To date we have helped more than 3,500 women do exactly that.
The role
This is a part-time position delivering sessions at Geographe Leisure Centre, and at Busselton foreshore in summer, with hours varying by time of year.
You will be share inspiration and energy through in person swim classes providing a learning experience aligned with our values. The swimmers you work with cover a range of swimming abilities from beginners through to Rottnest Channel swimmers.
Rate of Pay: Starting from $50 per session depending on experience
Who we're looking for
· Genuinely loves helping others, you are warm and encouraging
· Enjoys discovering what motivates people and how they learn and move uniquely
· Clear and confident communicator, comfortable coaching in a one to one situation or 20+ swimmers at any one time
· Enthusiastic and motivating
· A confident swimmer, fit and able to demonstrate drills poolside
What you'll need
· Understand the feel of water, how to move with it and enjoy being in it.
· Current AUSTSWIM or Masters Australia coaching qualification or equivalent. Or a genuine willingness to get one, we can point you in the right direction.
· Current CPR certification, maintained annually
· A smartphone to record class attendance
