About the role
The Program Manager role works closely with the Centre (Operations) Manager and the Customer Service team, to deliver a high quality learn to swim program. Our facility is purpose-built and buzzing with happy swimmers and families.
Teaching, supervising, and front desk, with a strong focus on program development and experience.
We aim to provide a professional, friendly and engaging place to swim and work. We hope to ignite a passion and love for swimming, as well as teach people of all ages, lifesaving swimming skills.
The Program Manager role has responsibility to assist in the management of the Swimming Teaching and Coaching programs at Kirby Swim so that we remain Perth’s premier Swim School as a result of the high standard of swimming tuition.
Key areas of responsibility include assisting with program growth and internal and external customer experience, the class/teacher quality, program efficiencies, the supervision and ongoing development & support of staff, rostering, customer liaison and provision of a safe environment.
There is also an expectation the Program Manager will at times, when required, help fulfill some general customer service roles and perform general plant room, maintenance, and other jobs as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the facility and program.
As a lead role within the team there is strong expectation that all tasks are completed in ways to boost team morale, and encourage a safe, inclusive, nurturing environment.
Kirby Swim Harrisdale is one of Perth's newest and exciting learn to swim programs.
We are a child safe organisation and you will need to demonstrate your suitability to work with children.
Position: Part-time 16 - 30 hours/week
Weekend Availability: Must be available one day each weekend

Skills and experience
Essential
- Current and relevant Swim Instructor Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience in the supervision and training of staff
- Demonstrated high level of customer service and ability to quickly establish rapport
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability in developing teams
- Experience in dealing with children and parents in a similar role
- Working with Children Check
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Swim teacher assessor qualification (Austswim, Swim Australia or RLSSA)
- Pool Operators Qualification.
