The Claremont Aquatic Centre is a family-oriented outdoor centre open year-round with 3 pools (50 metre, 25 metre and dive pool) that are naturally heated through a geothermal system. The centre also includes water playground and splash pad. The Town is seeking a full-time, enthusiastic and dedicated Duty Manager (Aquatic Technical Operator) to join the centre management team to work across a seven (7) day-a-week roster. Penalties apply for weekend shifts. Key responsibilities of the position include:

Ensure the Centre’s patrons are effectively supervised at all times.
Assist with the management of the daily operation of the aquatic area including oversight of lifeguards.
Assisting with co-ordinating programmes including swimming lessons, coaching and aqua aerobics.
Ensuring a safe, hygienic and well-maintained pools, buildings and surrounds.
Ensuring WHS compliance and promoting a culture of safety first.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of customer service experience and a sound understanding of pool operating procedures. The successful candidate’s core values will mirror the Town’s values of respect, integrity, quality communication and excellent customer service.
